Street fashion in Bangkok

In this post Street fashion = the fashion items that are sold on the street.

So what can you expect from the clothing stalls that are all around Bangkok? There is only one possible answer to this question – abundance.

Around Siam Square
Around Siam Square

Especially in the evenings the sidewalks get really busy and overcrowded. I love browsing these markets as it is something really unusual in Europe and doing it makes me feel more like a local.

Food and clothes come together (the Channel shirt..)

The number of the merchandize is infinite and you can find basically anything – bags, shoes, clothing, hats, jewelry, covers,  lacquers, handmade greeting cards, etc…

Whatever you need
Whatever you need

The quality leaves a lot to be desired but if you are patient you could literally renovate your wardrobe but not your wallet. Whats is more, the items are quite repetitive but so far they haven’t arrived in Europe so nobody will know that the fancy handbag you are showing off actually costs a little more than a McMenu.

  1. I love street shopping in Bangkok! Especially the night market when the weather isn’t that scorching. Have you been to Platinum yet? 🙂 – Lena

    1. Oh yeah, I loved it! Have you lived in bkk or are you from bkk? If you have any other suggestions for similar places let me know 🙂

  2. I bought one of my favorite hats from the street market outside Siam Square and you’re right, they sell just about everything there! The downside for me is that I’m busty and can’t fit into many of the Asian sized tops.

    1. I also got a hat from there ? you are right, the sizing can be trucky, but I actually see a lot of busty thai girls, it is a mistery where their suppliers are though
