Bangkok Trend Alert: Wearing a maxi button-down shirt

Wearing a button-down maxi shirt (especially a white one) and not seeming a nurse is not easy but the Bangkokian girls manage it quite efortlessly by jazzing it up with cool accessories. Whether they wear them as a dress or as a trench coat they always hit the right note of distinctive style.

Being this a mass trend in Bangkok I was Β one step away of purchasing one for myself as well ( like the one in the third photo ) but I’m still not ready for such a revolution in my wardrobe. Nevertheless I really enjoy seeing this kind of looks around the city.

Do you like how the locals (I just remembered that there are also two boys in the photos:)) have styled the maxi shirts?

  1. Great photos. Love seeing the fashion from the other side of the globe. Shirt fashion was big here in NYC this summer as well. Jealous of your warm weather!

    1. Thank you for passing by Julia! This is my first time spending the winter in a hot place and you can not imagine how much I love it πŸ™‚

  2. I’m so happy these are in fashion because I have maxi shirts in white and other colours. Some of them are ankle length. They’re great for fine art conventions when I need a normcore look. I’ve got some awesome maxi tshirt dresses that match the shirts too, and they’re for “whatever I don’t care” coffee shop outings. Paired with gladiator sandals and oversized glasses, of course. Loved this post. Very relieved. Thank you.

    1. You have to post some of those looks πŸ™‚ here there is the t–shirt dress trend as well, I will write about it soon and you will be even double relieved πŸ˜€

      1. Goodness!!!! I’ll try one soon. I have one in my phone, but I thought people would think it looked too boring. I layered over and under like, five times, last autumn. xoxoxoxoxo

    1. Omg this sounds like fun ? I have destroyed many garments but melting sth with the blow dryer is still in the to do list. I usually mess up with the washing machine or the iron ?
