White Milano: Contemporary fashion and emerging designers

White is an international contemporary fashion show dedicated to up-and-coming designers and one of the best places to be if you want to discover next season’s trends. Even if you havent’s seen not even one catwalk from the past month, you will be able to identify the future must-haves in less than an hour since there are hundreds of exhibitors and it is literally a piece of cake to spot the recurrent themes.

The good news is that the casual sporty chic style is still in and developed further more for FW 15/16. The designs are a perfect amalgama of comfort and edginess – apparently classic pieces are embellished with glitter, rhinestones and fur, creating intriguing aesthetics. And talking about fur, I was surprised to see so many real fur coats but this is another topic.

So, below is a small selection of what I saw yesterday. Thanks God it is not a cash and carry event!

Is there something that you feel you must own? I will absolutely go for a pair of Birkenstock-inspired sandals and a parka ( even though I hope that the weather conditions of my location next winter will be more suitable for tank top and sombrero rather than coats, but yes, sandals are always welcome ).

  1. I’d pick the neutral trend! I saw it a lot also at the 080 Barcelona Fashion displays for young designers.

Here my last post! This week is about the relation between Fashion brands and Luxury online retailers –> How Lane Crawford has launched exclusively the latest Dior handbag collection through an Instagram contest!
