Amici Granievaghi Milano: I found handmade jewelry in a fairy tale-ish shop

Once upon a time there was a small enchanted shop in China Town … I guess this is how the modern metropolitan fairy tales begin.

The shop is called Amici Granievaghi and has been there for a long time. It is actually one of the few survivors of the Asian take over.

Two lovely ladies (and a dog) have been running this cozy place for the past 5 years and everything that you see there is handcrafted by them, at the back of the shop. They use basic materials such as wood, glass, terracotta, cotton and hemp threads. Simple elements that create unique, one of a kind pieces.

The latest novelty is the introduction of real food into the jewelry making, in step with the EXPO‘s core theme. This means that dried berries, candies and pasta will be on the agenda in the next few months. But please don’t eat your necklace if you get hungry, everything is pretreated so that it can last in time.

Amici Granievaghi: Via Paolo Lomazzo 11, 20154 Milan, Italy; Tue – Sat: 10:45 am – 7:30 pm
