The Idyllic Beaches of Sardinia

A few days ago I was reading an article on the website of the main competitor of my blog ( the Huffington Post :D).
It was about the 15 most beautiful beaches in Italy and guess what? I have been to three of them in less than a week!
Such a coincidence can only happen on an island and this case it was Sardinia. As soon as I saw the landscape from the plane I asked myself why I hadn’t visited before and soon I remembered the reason – it is actually more convenient to go from Milan to Mexico than to travel domestically. Let’s not forget that Sardinia boasts the most exclusive port in the world where prices for docking in high heason can reach 4.000 usd per night. In this occasion we left the yacht elsewhere so this wasn’t an issue πŸ˜€

Sardinia is a an intriguing island, to say the least. It can be scrubby and uninhabited, with trafficless winding roads, where it is not uncommon to see wild pigs, goats or turtles cross the road or just stand in the middle of it. Or it could be glamorous and scintillating, boasting the hottest girls and the biggest yacht parties of the Mediterranean.

It is the mix of the two that makes it so special and unique. In one week we visited several beaches, all very different from one another. Some were jam-crowded, others almost desert, some surrounded by optical white sands, others by fascinating and intimidating rock formations.

From this short toccata e fuga in Sardinia, I reached to the conclusion that I have to return and put my feet on every single beach of the island. Pink flamingos and 60 meters high dunes – wait for me!

Which is your favorite beach from the ones below?
