Unusual hairdresser in Bangkok

When you first see this uncommon place you might think that it is a flower shop or maybe a coffee shop, or wait, could it be a hairdresser?

Actually it is all this things together. This place has something magic in it. As you enter your senses are ignited by the vibrant exotic colours and aromas of the vast selection of flowers and fruit. The old furniture, the retro vibes that are playing inside and the large tapes collection of the owner contribute to create a unique vintage atmosphere in the very heart of the busy business district of Bangkok.

Samson – the owner – is a middle aged man who also ( good news spoiler! ) speaks a little English so you can easily tell him what you need to be done with your hair. He will also prepare you a freshly squeezed juice to sip while you read (?) the fashion thai magazines that he has handled to you.

It was definitely one of the most picturesque blow dries that I have ever had. The total price was 210 baht ( around 5 euro ). It’s is situated on BTS Sala Daeng, exit Lumpini, on the mai street. You will recognize it by the unexpected increase of flowers on the sidewalk.

  1. Wow what a pretty hair salon + flower shop! I use to live in Bangkok and would go with my parents to Lumpini Park but never came across this hair salon. Would definitely check it out when I’m in town. Glad I found your post! How long have you lived in Thailand 🙂 – Lena

    1. Hi Lena, actually it is really a small place and with all the street vendors around it could be hard to spot. But Definitely deserves a visit! I have been here for three weeks now 🙂
