Bangkok Street Style: Men's Fashion

Having spent great part of my conscious life in Italy, I grew up with the certainty that Italians are the best dressed men in the world. While I’m still a firm believer in their leadership, I’m not convinced anymore that their distinctive fashion sense is so unreachable.

To my surprise Thai guys know how to dress well and the latest trends are no mystery to them. I love that they always add a personal touch to their outfit especially when it comes to uniforms and the boring office wear.

The Bangkokian streets offer myriad of styles representing different moods, subcultures and movements and often you have to move to a particular area of the city if you want to spot them. In the photos below you will see what happens in downtown, which is quite illustrative of the Thai reality, but not exhaustive though.

And since we are talking about men’s fashion, I was wondering: would you rather be attracted by a good looking/bad dressed guy or by a ย not-so-good looking/well dressed one?

And last but not least: Happy Women’s Day to all the lovely ladies! And you guys should remember – if she is happy, you are happy ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. They look amazing. their sense of style is so good, and to your question : I think that a lot of people tend to judge first the appearance(the clothes) and later the face. it really depends on the person though. i, for example like having something to look at so if a person is dressed well it will matter to me more than his face.

    1. I agree, I would rather have a second look at someone who presents himself better. This is an ability than must be respected ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Asiatics can really surprise us! I’ve never been there, but the ones that come to visit Europe are dress in a really modern and cool way.

Here my latest post, about how Alexander Wang is helping Balenciaga to improve consumer’s perception and the brand’s revenues.

    Bests!

    1. They really have nothing to envy to the best dressed weatern fashionistas, they can be very creative and are not afraid to experiment, and it is clear that they fell comfortable with what they wear which is the most important

  3. Very interesting observation – and you’re right, they do know a lot about dressing up in Thailand. Something for us Europeans to watch and learn!

    1. Exactly. I was very surprised by their sense of style and there were some guys that were really admirable ( mostly hisos though)
