While we were in Tuscany we discovered a truly magical place.
It is called Fattoria San Martino and is situated among the undulating hills and vineyards of Tuscany and right below Montepulciano. It is a biodynamic farm that offers an exclusive and sustainable experience in a stunning natural settings.
I had seen it in photos before but the reality took over imagination. My senses were overwhelmed by the captivating beauty that surrounded me. Starting from the lavender alley leading towards the hammock under olive trees, then the bio pool and it’s water lilies, ending in the kitchen garden and, last but not least, the vegetarian (or vegan upon request) restaurant boasting cozy wood tables under the natural shade of the grape pergola.
The lunch itself was another unforgettable experience. We tried eight different dishes, each one made with fresh, organic products, matched with a glass of white, locally produced wine and a stunning view over Val di Chiana. I usually don’t like spending more-than-the-necessary time sitting at the table, but this time, before we knew it, almost three hours were gone. If you look at the photos below you will understand why. Plus our hosts were so friendly and attentive that made us feel way too much at home 🙂
If you want to know more about Fattoria San Martino visit their website or you can check the room availability here.

The peace of this place is truly unforgettable. I am a city girl and love the urban chaos but I felt at home there. Highly recommended if you visit Tuscany. And it is very kids friendly btw!
Tuscany is on the top 2 of my bucket list!
Now I am curious, which is number one?
Florence 😉 but Roma is so close behind that I can’t make up my mind between the two
