“The New Vocabulary of Italian Fashion” is a must see exhibition for anyone interested in the fashion industry. It will showcase, until the 6th of March 2016, more than a hundred Italian designers who have been influencing the local scene since 1998 (which means that you won’t see those who have established themselves before that year).
I went today, as soon as it opened (10:30) and thought that my visit would be a quick toccata e fuga. I had scheduled around 20 minutes to see it all, also because I had other appointments later on, but it was so interesting to see the details of the different shapes, cuts, structures and techniques used, that it took me triple the time to explore all of the eight rooms (and be late for anything else).
The ehxibition is held at Triennale Design Museum which is right behind (read as 5 minutes walking) Cadorna Station (red and green metro stop). The ticket office is actually a booth and is located outside the building, right in front of the entrance. The fee is 10 €, according to the website, but I paid 8 € for unknown reasons.
I’m saving this in my bookmarks for my visit of Milan in 2 weeks time – looks like the perfect visit for a tourist interested in fashion ;))
