We dedicated the remaining part of our time in Doha on the area around Corniche (the waterfront promenade which offers great view of the skyline) and the the Museum of Islamic art. We got there walking for 15 minutes from our hotel. We passed through a not-so-glitzy neighbourhood, with missing sidewalks, dim bazars and many, many men. Actually I was the only woman as far as I could see, and it wasn’t hazy.
All the rest was well arranged and spotless.
Nevertheless, I got the re-confirmation that Arab countries don’t match my vibe. I had this feeling in Dubai and now I felt the same way. There is something in the air there that makes me uneasy. I would give Indonesia a chance, though 😉
I really like how you often show different sides of cities or countries you travel in. Or in this case a different feeling that you had being in Doha. It’s great for me to see and read about the good and the bad of places that I have never been to 🙂 And I mean, there is always two sides of the same coin.
I agree with you, no place can be just good or bad. I like to have the full view of the places that I am going to see but quite often on the web there are only shiny images. And once I arrive there I am like ^wtf^.
Although I love traveling, there are quite a few places on this earth that I’ve decided I’m not going to. It’s probably the uneasy vibe that I can sense and keeps me at distance.
Beautiful pictures, no doubt. You both are such a pretty couple and you look like you can have fun anywhere as long as you’re together! 🙂
