I was walking down the main street in Seminyak when my sensible tropical heart skipped a beat.
I saw a mysterious jungle-ish entry and hip circus letters stating La Favela.
It was early in the morning and it was still closed but I knew that I need to return there as soon as the sweetest one lands in Bali.
So we did and the very next day we headed out for a dinner.
As we were walking through the lush plants I couldn’t stop stopping (…) and admiring the surroundings. It felt like being in an enchanted forest, with dimly lit ambiances and quirky objects from all over the world.
A part from the tropical garden with its water ponds, bridges and hidden corners, which beauty and charm is beyond words, La Favela boasts one of the most original interior designs I have ever seen.
The graffiti-splashed vintage Volkswagen bars and the private antique dining rooms are just part of this sensorial experience.
We had a good dinner, with Latin-Mediterranean inspiration and danced the night away with an awesome music spacing from Latin beats to David Guetta and Beyonce.
If you are a party-goer or design lover La Favela is the place to be. We are definitely more the latter than else and we had a wonderful time.
