How is life in Abu Dhabi is the most recurrent question everyone asks me since I moved here. My answer is always the same – It’s good, and there is nothing not to like about it. Here is why:
- It’s safe – I can leave my bag open, put my phone in the back pocket, go for a swim and leave my not-so-cheap camera unattended and be sure to find everything in place afterwards. Not to mention that I am never afraid to walk alone even in the darkest hour or go to the desert all by myself.
- The Beach – Abu Dhabi has the best beaches in the UAE and this is not a legend. The sand is soft and white, the color of the water is irresistibly turquoise.
- The Condos are very well equiped and most of them have 24/7 security and maintenance, a receptionist, fully equipped gyms, kids corner and a pool. The interesting fact about the latter is that in summer the water gets cooled down while in winter they make it warm. So it’s always a good time for a swim. Also being abale to work out just 3 miutes away from my sofa is something the lazy me greatly appreciates
- Driving is much easier here than in Europe. Actually this is the first country where I drive, despite having a driving license since I turned 18. The roads are big, pedestrians are a rarity, as are scooters, and parking is easy. No need to fit the car in a space that is 1 cm larger that the vehicle.bu
- The supermarkets are supplied from all over the world so basically we can eat anything, anytime of the year. I even found some Bulgarian delicacies while my Italian better half can enjoy here almost everything he can have back at home.
- The food – we have never had bad food experience here. There are all kinds of restaurant and even if they are a bit more expensive than in Italy, the price is totally worth it for what we get. The dishes are always beautifully presented and even the way they arrive on the table is often spectacular. Just check Nusr Et and you will get the idea.
In a nutshell I love it here because life is easy.
