Last week I went to the launch of Tasca Restaurant, a Portuguese fusion cuisine, at the Mandarin Oriental in Dubai. It’s the first international opening for José Avillez, a two Michelin starred chef. I had never heard about him before but now I wil be sure to remember this name as everything was exceptional and some of the delicacies absolutely unforgettable. I still remember the taste of the avocado tempura, the raw shrimps on lime and the apple slices marinated in Margarita cocktail.
The venue itself is stunning too, situated on the 6th and last floor of the hotel and offering a unique view of Downtown.
