When I think about a tropical paradise my thoughts go back to Zanzibar. The last time I visited the island I stayed in Zanzibar White Sand Luxury Villas in Paje. I had seen the pictures of the property on their website before my trip but what I couldn’t imagine was that in real life it’s even better.
The hotel is made of villas, all of them very spacious and delimited by lush, tropical gardens. Ours was placed on the beachfront and we had our own pool and a rooftop terrace from where we enjoyed uninterrupted views of the Indian ocean. There was even a huge (sun)bed on the top that I suppose was there for vitamin D intake purposes but hadn’t I been afraid of insects I would have happily spent a night under the stars.
One of my favorite amenities of the villa was the external bathroom with outdoor bathtub and shower. It’s safe to say that my personal hygiene beat new records since I was having 4-5 showers a day. I couldn’t resist the water bliss under the fragrant tropical flowers or the stary sky in the evening.
The resort itself looks like the perfect idyllic escape for honeymooners and couples. I went with a friend and I think we were the only ones who weren’t in any kind of a romantic relationship but still our days just flew by.
There is not a lot happening outside the hotel but if you take one of the complimentary bikes that they provide, you can reach more restaurants, cafes and kite surf schools in less than 15 minutes. Probably less if you are fitter than we are (which probably you are). We did it just once in order to be sure that we were not missing out anything but should I go there again I would happily spend my time between the restaurant, pool, hammock, beach or viceversa.
Here are some photos from this little piece paradise. If you want to know more about Zanzibar White Sand Luxury Villas check out their website.
