The Stone Town of Matera
After the morning trip to the abandoned city of Craco we headed to the Stone town of Matera ( I wonder in what kind of place would we have ended up if we had continued with the excursions ). Matera is located in the remote southern region of Basilicata and is a unique off the beaten path destination, especially for foreign travellers.
