Chic and Posh in Tuscany: Forte dei Marmi

Forte dei Marmi is a posh seaside resort in Tuscany and a favorite weekend getaway to the rich and famous. I have always wondered why it is such a popular destination for the Milan’s ‘it’ crowd and now I have all the answers, which can be briefly summarized as follows:

  • only 250 km away
  • wide and long fine-sand beach
  • mystic mountains in the background
  • fine dining
  • boutique shopping
  • exciting night life

Do you need much more for your entertainment? I don’t. And I’m seriosly considering buying myself a villa for the ridiculously low price of 2.000.000 Euros 🙂

Something that might convince some of the male readers to become my neighbours is the fact the some years ago Forbes placed Forte dei Marmi in the Top Topless Beaches in the World list.

I hope that the following pictures will convince you that it pays to have a little change in your pocket.

Tip: visit the open-air market that happens in Piazza Marconi every Wednesday (all year) from 8:00 to 14:00 and every Sunday (from Easter to the last Sunday of October).

P.S. Forte dei Marmi means Fort of the Marbles

P.P.S The second part of the photos are taken in the nearby Marina di Massa.

  1. Awesome place, looking forward to calling it home teaching English full immersion style. The English Haven is what we have called it. We are open from 1 March 2017.
