After a short break the series with the best Thai disigners is back. I have to confess you that I’m actually obsessed with the creatives from the Land of Smiles. I don’t know whether it is the exotic charm that attracts me so much or they just meet my pretentious taste, or another guess, because they make it difficult to catch someone else wearing the same piece.
However, back to the topic, I discovered Pony Stone (designed by Euwadee Sriarun) one of the first times I was zig zagging around Siam Square in Bangkok. I remember that their display impressed me so much that I took a couple of pictures of it (that I can’t find in this moment but I will post them later). It was all about destroyed jeans and seeing more distressed jeans than mine was definitely something I never expected to witness (yes, mom and dad, mines are barely ripped compared to theirs). From that moment it was love and I have been following them ever since.
As you will see from the pictures below Pony Stone is kind of a unique brand that could target both the romantic girl next door who prefers the edgy and feminine silhouettes and the rebel-badass one who will, instead, go for something more eye-catching and bolder.
What I like most is how they use an element (a bow, lace, ripped everything) and not just take it to the next level but to many levels above. And I’m undeniably a lover of exaggeration when it comes to fashion (ok, and food and luxury and good life:D).
What do you think about this brand? Do you have a favorite piece?
If you happen to be in Bangkok and you want to unleash both your personalities you can go either to Pony Stone shop in Siam Square Soi 2 or at Central Embassy 3rd floor. Also check their Facebook and Instagram pages.
I wish I was young again when I see these but I enjoy seeing these fashions through my daughters eyes and yours and we certainly do have an eye for fashion here you are right and the jeans my daughter always loves it when I send her some and the fit is amazing. 🙂
Agree dear, fashion is not just to be consumed but also to be contemplated. As a form of art, it doesn’t have age restrictions, so let’s enjoy it ? btw I believe that there aren’t many parents who are able to choose something wearable and cool for their grown up children. Your daughters are lucky!
