After a bunch of low quality lunch breaks I decided that I deserve something more than a cold food, reheated in the microwave. I had set my sight on Eat BBQ a few evenings ago while we were doing our usual after dinner gelato stroll in the neighbourhood. This restaurant is a total eye catcher in the evening when it is illuminated by a myriad of little lights but even in the daylight it has a lot going for it.
It has a very cozy atmosphere and is decorated with old time photographs and posters, infinite number of bottles of Italian wines, spice tins, nutella jars and other vintage memoriabilia.
The menu is strongly meat oriented so if you are not a dedicated carnivore I think that you would better skip this place (especially in the evening). For lunch they offer some very fresh recipes that can easily satisfy the vegetarian part of the population.
Below are some photos of my lunch. I was the first to arrive (apparently I get hungry before anyone else) so I was even able to take some pics of the interiors.
The quality of the food was definitely above the average and if you are around, looking for some genuine Italian dishes, check out this place. Also, if you are a fashionista, keep in mind that you can enjoy your meal in the company of plenty of like-minded people as the area boasts a lot of showrooms and fashion offices (Dolce & Gabbana included).
Eat BBQ is in Sottocorno 5/A, Str. and is open everyday except on Saturday and Sunday for lunch. It is also next to Tabaccheria Giacomo, a vintage bar and another place not to miss when in Milan.
Very nice!
I will take you there too
